On May 22, the coordinator of the QUSTom project, Josep de la Puente, had the opportunity to present the European project at the Pint of Science festival held in Barcelona, Spain.
Pint of Science is a science communication festival that aims to present current scientific advancements to the general public in an engaging and accessible way.
During his talk, Josep de la Puente discussed how breast cancer can be successfully treated if diagnosed at a very early stage. He also explained that mammograms currently have limitations, such as the use of radiation and their challenges in detecting tumors in very dense tissue. In this context, he highlighted the QUSTom project, emphasizing that it is developing technology with the potential to revolutionize screening programs.
