During May, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center held the Women’s Health Awareness Week (WHAW) in the framework of the International Day of Action for Women’s Health (28 May).
The event, organised by the Bioinfo4Women programme, included several activities to raise awareness about gender-based health and disease issues, which reached more than 250 people.
Josep de la Puente, BSC researcher and coordinator of QUSTom, had the opportunity to present a poster, through which he described the objectives of the project and explained the limitations in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer due to breast density. You may view the poster here.
