Imaging diagnosis in breast cancer: present and future

Objectives: This course will be centred on explaining the different techniques used in clinical practice to diagnose breast cancer. It will highlight the screening programme and all the steps from acquiring the first image until we reach the final diagnosis of the lesion. The training will cover all imaging (mammography, ultrasound and MRI) and interventional techniques to obtain histological samples or treat the tumour.
The final part will address the future of breast cancer diagnosis in relation to artificial intelligence-assisted techniques and personalised medicine.
