From the Interior of the Earth to Medical Imaging: the Impact of Supercomputing on Applied Physics
At the event hosted by the Complutense University of Madrid, Josep de la Puente delivered a lecture titled “From the Earth’s Interior to Medical Imaging.” In his presentation, he explored how advances in computational geophysics have enabled the creation of accurate models of the Earth’s interior and how these developments are being applied to enhance medical imaging techniques, particularly in improving cancer detection through ultrasound technology.
